Feasibiltiy Study or Perc Test
Have you made an offer on a piece of property and want to know if it will support a septic system before you close?
While you may often hear the term “Perc Test”, in actuality percolation tests have not been required for years. However, you often hear the term still used to refer to a feasibility study. With a feasibility study, we can evaluate the site and soil conditions to determine if a septic system can be installed in accordance with minimum state and local requirements. We will follow up with a written report with our findings. It’s important to understand that a feasibility report is a professional opinion regarding the ability of the property to meet septic requirements only, and does not represent an approval by any regulatory authority. Identification of Reserve Areas
Was your building permit application disapproved because the Snohomish Health District says your septic system has no reserve area designated? What is a reserve area?
A reserve area is an area identified for replacement of an existing drain field should it fail.
